Monkeybiz takes on the iconic Le Creuset casserole dish in beads.
One of the most exciting bespoke projects we’ve worked on recently involved creating a beaded version of the iconic Le Creuset casserole pot in the bold and vibrant Flame 🔥 colourway. This unique piece was crafted for a special friend of the Le Creuset family, merging the world of traditional African beadwork with the classic, timeless design of Le Creuset cookware.
At Monkeybiz, we thrive on opportunities to push our creative boundaries. Every project is a chance to blend our rich heritage of beadwork with contemporary design concepts, and this collaboration was no different. The vibrant Flame hue of the Le Creuset pot inspired us to create something truly remarkable, capturing both the warmth of the color and the craftsmanship that goes into every stitch of our beadwork.
The talented bead artist behind this masterpiece is Phumla Mramba, whose skill and dedication are reflected in the intricate detail of the piece. Phumla meticulously beaded every part of the pot, ensuring that the final result wasn’t just a replica but a work of art that comes to life in a stunning fusion of texture, color, and cultural tradition.
This project symbolizes the beauty of collaboration, where traditional African craftsmanship meets iconic global design, and where functional objects transform into exquisite pieces of art. We love seeing our beaded creations come to life in new and unexpected ways, and this Le Creuset project is a shining example of how we continue to innovate while honoring our heritage.
