Born 1954, Eastern Cape, South Africa.

Eunice lives in Khayelitsha with her 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. She has 3 grandchildren. Her favourite place to visit is East London and she loves to eat vegetables and fish. When she isn’t beading she loves tending to her vegetable garden.

Any stories of your upbringing? What was your upbringing like?
I grew up on a farm with three other siblings where I was raised by both my parents.

Intsimbi ndayifundiswa ngumama wam sithunga imibhaco neentsimbi zesiXhosa Yinkonzo nelizwi likaThixo kunye nosapho lwam.

How were you introduced to beading?
My mum taught me how to bead as we were doing traditional Xhosa beading and beading on Umbhaco (Xhosa dresses).

What inspires you in life?
The word of God and my family.

Into endiyithanda kakhulu ngokwenza intsimbi ndonwabisa abantu ngomebenzi wezandla zam ndizobe patterns ngezintsimbi ndie creative.

What do you love about beading?
The thing I love the most about beading is that I can make people happy through my artwork. I get to create lovely patterns and am free to be as creative as I want.

What do you want to be known for?
I am a humble person with love and always a smile. I don’t like bad vibes and I love God.
